High-Performance Wave-Absorbing & Wave-Transparent Stealth Camouflage Materials
The novel wave-transparent and wave-absorbing composite material adopts integrated matching technology combining wave-absorbing functional layers and wave-transparent substrate layers. With elaborately optimized multi-layer material formulation and patterned layout design, the composite is fabricated via sophisticated patterning processes using carbon nanotubes, diverse rare-earth raw materials and flexible high-temperature high-adhesion adhesives.
When electromagnetic waves irradiate the material, incident waves are channeled by frequency band through an internal "path allocation" mechanism. Waves falling within the absorption band penetrate the functional layer loaded with carbonyl iron powder and carbon nanotubes, where electromagnetic energy is efficiently converted into thermal energy via magnetic loss and dielectric loss. In contrast, electromagnetic waves in the transmission band feature impedance well-matched with ambient air and pass through the customized wave-transparent layer with minimal energy loss.
Consequently, the material delivers high transmittance at transmission frequencies and strong electromagnetic attenuation at absorption frequencies. The surface can be coated with customized colored patterns for optical camouflage; doping with infrared-absorbing additives enables infrared shielding performance.
This composite achieves multi-spectrum stealth protection against three core detection modes: electromagnetic, visible-light optical and infrared. It boasts outstanding comprehensive performance, superior flexibility, ultra-thin lightweight structure, wide temperature tolerance and excellent corrosion resistance. Typical application scenarios include camouflage for critical installations, equipment stealth modification, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) engineering and anechoic microwave chamber construction.
Product Characteristics
KTL new-type wave-absorbing and wave-transparent composite material is developed against detection by SAR satellites, targeting the critical detection frequency band of 4-18 GHz to realize high-efficiency broadband microwave absorption.
Excellent Flexibility & Wide Compatibility
Taking flexible high-temperature organic composite adhesive as substrate, the material features outstanding pliability and conformability. It can closely attach to irregular curved surfaces of various equipment including tanks, radars and communication base stations for seamless coverage. It overcomes drawbacks of conventional rigid absorbing materials such as poor conformability and complicated installation. The product can be cut and spliced freely to fit equipment of diverse shapes and dimensions, greatly boosting installation efficiency.
